The Mudlark River Front Lodge is situated at the mouth of the breede river, we have 5 en-suite rooms, 3 with private decks overlooking 3kms of river.
The Mudlark offers peace and tranquility only 3 hours from Cape Town. We offer bird watching, easy walks, canoes for guests, dinghies with skippers for fishing charter on the river.

Machado Stud Farm is nestled between the mountains on the eastern highlands of Mpumalanga, four kilometers off the N4 and two and a half hours drive from Johannesburg/Pretoria. It offers 4 convenient and charming luxury self catering cottages.
The cottages are serviced twice/day by our friendly staff. Log fires blaze in the cosy lounges during cool and misty evenings. Wood, charcoal and firelighters are provided for fireplaces and private braai facilities.
We offer fly-fishing for trout in 17 well stocked dams and weirs. Catch and release allowed. Float tubes and kick boats are welcome. Fly tackle available for hire. Other outdoor activities include hiking and birdwatching.
Venues and facilities in the area: rock climbing, paragliding, horse trails, hiking, historical sites and buildings. Kruger National Park as well as the Mpumalanga scenic routes only 150km from the farm.

All units are self-catering and are not serviced. All places have their own indoor fireplace as well as braai areas. There are four dams on the property of which two are currently stocked with Rainbow trout for fly fishing.
Short hiking trails on the property up to 5km. Bird life abundant on the property. Mountain biking is allowed, must bring your own bike.
We are situated 100km from Nelspruit and 100km from Middelburg in the Machadodorp, Waterval Boven area. Both Machadodorp & Waterval Boven are about 6 km from us.
Other activities in the area are, paragliding, rock climbing & horse riding.
Giants Cup Wilderness Reserve is, a small, exclusive trout flyfishing resort set on the banks of a 25hectare lake - through which the Umzimkulwana River flows. It is, uniquely in southern Africa, a self-sustaining, wild spawning open system. Regarded by many as perhaps the finest trout fishing destination in the country, it is entirely surrounded by Kwazulu-Natal Conservation Services wilderness area, and is home to prolific wildlife and rare waterfowl. Activities include angling for wild-spawned rainbow and brown trout, wilderness hikes and bird-watching for uncommon and rare wet-land species. Visitors are housed in well appointed, en-suite, self catering accommodation, but meals are available by appointment.
